Fuel Samplers are aluminum with stainless steel valves and used to take fuel samples from fuel storage tanks. Lower the sampler to the tank bottom, a valve opens and fluid fills the sampler. Lift the sampler, the valve closes to trap the fluid. Empty sampler in a clear jar to see any contamination.
